...a sacred space for Spiritual Transformation             Email Us!

Temenos is a nonprofit Conference and Retreat Center where people can come for spiritual growth, education, personal and social transformation, and mutual support. It is an outreach ministry of the Swedenborgian Church at Temenos and was established to facilitate renewal and transformation in human lives. Programs are open to persons of all spiritual traditions. The sacred space of Temenos is also available for private individual retreats and for groups wishing to reserve space for their own programs or events.

What is the Swedenborgian Church at Temenos?

As a church, we encourage the spirit of inquiry and personal growth.  We respect differences in views, and we accept others who have different traditions. Swedenborg’s theology offers a view of God as infinitely loving and at the very center of our being; a view of life as a spiritual birthing during which we participate in our own creation; and a view of Scripture as a story of inner-life stages of learning and growth.  Swedenborg felt that the sincerest form of worship is a useful life.  “All religion relates to life, and the life of religion is to do good.”

 Join Us for Worship!

Visitors are always welcome at worship services at the Swedenborgian Church at Temenos.  Services take place Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the Farm House Chapel on the Temenos grounds.  A children’s message is offered and child care is available during the worship service.  Coffee Hour follows the service and a spiritual discussion group begins at 12:15 p.m.
